SELC was founded as an English and German Language Institute in Zushi in 1994 with classes for individuals and groups up to six people. The lessons were organized and taught by English or American teachers in their respective fields. The English Lesson classes were based on Harvard Business Review case studies.
In 2000, SELC began to offer research services for clients into Japan’s private and public sectors. Our core strengths are in analyzing and reporting the country’s latest technological developments, as well as in marketing for international clients. We also offer management consulting assistance, based on Japan’s market trends, for Western entities. At the same time, we have provided information on European and American technologies and markets for our domestic clients. Our efforts have been recognized by multinational corporations, governments, and research institutes in Japan, Europe, and the United States.
